Specializing in building products that serve the needs of photography and artist communities. [ 11/93 - 09/08 ] altpick.com | New York, NY Executive Producer This online extension of the Alternative Pick annual sourcebook is designed to connect art buyers to photographers, illustrators, and designers. Responsibilities include creating the business and marketing plans as well as the technical spec for this web-based product. Managed all production resources since the site's creation and through its upgrade history. This website became profitable at the end of its first year. Today, the book has been shut down and the website is the main revenue source. [ 10/99 - 03/02 ] Quokka Sports | San Francisco, California Director, Product Development Online sports content company Quokka Sports was best known for the production of the "nbcolympics.com" web site during the Summer Olympic Games in Sydney, Australia. I was responsible for the overall design, development and "immersion" of all sponsored content. Built and managed the sponsor product development department, which consisted of 12 people; conducted creative brainstorming sessions with external clients (including Visa, Sears, Intel, General Motors, GE, adidas, Subaru, Compaq and Computer Associates) and Quokka's internal production teams; taught staff members how to identify and develop innovative revenue-producing content. [ 9/99 - 4/01 ] The Chicago Tribune | Chicago, Illinois Manager, Interactive Product Design Responsible for the direct supervision of 8 full-time interactive advertising staff members. The department produces all of the in-house advertising content within the Chicago Tribune, Digital City Chicago, Metromix and Virtual Communities projects, including special advertising sections, integrated advertiser programming, promotions, marketing partnerships, small-business microsites, tile and banner artwork, and media kits. [ 9/96 - 9/99 ] The Jackson Citizen Patriot | Jackson, Michigan Staff Photographer The Jackson Citizen Patriot's daily circulation is 38,000. Duties include: general assignment photo assignments, filling in on the photo and assignment desks; getting photos ready for publication and for postscript output; and Macintosh system troubleshooting and general digital imaging system development, training and streamlining. [ 11/91 - 3/95 ] The Ann Arbor News | Ann Arbor, Michigan Photographer Full time (1-year contract) staff photographer for a newspaper with a daily circulation of 50,000.
